Gin, nothing more refreshing on a hot summer's day.  But what is gin?

Gin is generally a neutral spirit blended with botanicals and its predominant flavour is from juniper berries. Juniper berries must be included to call gin, gin!

The type of gin you make with the Gin Your Way kit is called a compound gin. Compound gin is adding botanicals to the neutral spirit i.e. vodka*, letting them infuse then filtering them out. It does not need to be redistilled. The gin you make will not be completely clear as it has not been back through a still after the botanicals are infused. This is normal.

 

The opportunities are endless when it comes to adding flavours to gin. The botanicals included in the Gin Your Way pack are commonly used in gin however you could add any number of other ingredients to make it your own.

The Gin Your Way kit has enough juniper berries to make 1 litre of gin. Juniper berry refills are also available.
